Emre-Zhan, 29, joined Dort in 2019 and has just renewed his contract to 2026 this summer. However, for a long time before, his ups and downs could not make a breakthrough, and he finally became an indispensable midfield general under Terzic in the second half of last season.
Emre-Zhan said: “six or seven months ago, no one would have thought that I would become the captain, and I couldn’t think of it myself. Dort had injury problems during this summer’s preparation and last week’s German Cup. Emre-Zhan said: “I think it is a pity that this situation is normal during the preparation period, because sometimes you have to reach the limit in training to have a good competitive state.”
